commercial: The sun sets over the masts of Rugby Radio Station, now superseded by satellite and other methods of communication. The station,, which opened in 1926, allowed the first transatlantic phone calls to be made and was used to transmit signals to submarines during World War Two before transmitting the atomic clock signal used all over the world to set the time precisely.
